City of Bath
The City of Bath is a Roman City situated in the Southwest of England. It is located in the leafy county of Somerset which is known for its rolling hills and apple orchards where cider is produced.
Bath was first founded as a settlement by the Romans at around AD 60.
Bath is the largest city in Somerset and is located very close to the region's capital, Bristol.
Victoria Park- Bath
Bath is most well known for the Roman Baths which are located in the city centre. Bath is what was known back in roman times as a spa town, this is where Romans would come to relax and cleanse themselves in the hot springs.
Bath has a very hilly landscape and is known for the 7 hills that connect the city together.
Bath is known to be one of the most beautiful cities in the UK and is extremely popular with tourists. Other roman cities in the UK include Chester and York.
Interesting facts:
- The famous author Jane Austen once lived in Bath and she wrote some of her novels in the city.
- Famous residents include Hollywood actors Johnny Depp and Nicolas Cage who owned apartments at the Royal crescent.

Jane Austen lived at No. 4 of the apartments in the Bathwick area shown in the above picture.
This is the Jane Austen museum located in the Centre of Bath.
Holburne Museum- Many famous artists exhibit their work here. This is a well known museum situated in Bathwick.
