Fit for a Queen!

Today I wanted to share with you some images of Queen Marie Antoinette's Private Apartment. Marie Antoinette was from Austria but became the very famous Queen of Louis XVI.  She had a tragic end of course, but her life also contained a lot of beauty. She displayed creativity and passion for the fine things in life. When it came to style and design I think in may ways she was ahead of her time. The first eight pictures below are all from her apartment. The following ones are of some other beautiful interiors and settings that I feel could be seen to be inspired by the style displayed at the court of Marie Antoinette's.  Looking at these exquisite fine things, I came to think of Mother's Day that is right around the corner. Mothers should get breakfast in bed, stretch on the sofa and be treated as the special person they are by loved ones. I wish we could all be surrounded by interiors like in the pictures all day on Mother's Day.  She should be a queen for the day.
